Held annually at the Denver Mart, the 2016 Denver Golf Expo is one of the top consumer golf expos in the country with an attendance that has been growing despite the leveling off of the golf economy. The reason? Mark Cramer the expo organizer attracts a unique blend of golf courses, affiliated services, equipment and local organizations all under the golf big top on February 19-21.
Cramer has linked the major golf organizations to support and participate in the event including the Colorado PGA, Colorado Golf Association, Colorado Junior Golf and the Colorado Women’s Golf Association. “When we started with the Expo, we had less than 4,000 attendees. This year we expect over 12,000” Cramer noted.
The Expo is an excellent way to shake off the winter blahs and get charged up for golf with 130 vendors and a chance to try the latest and greatest clubs just unveiled at the PGA show. The extensive demo area offers the opportunity to rocket the ball with Tour Edge, Wilson, Adams, and Mizuno. If you just have to buy something, Lenny’s Golf has moved over an extensive array of clearance and new merchandise.
A Friday highlight includes a meet and greet appearance by golf legend, Hal Sutton. Oh yeah, there are prizes. Included are a grand prize trip for four to Bandon Dunes, longest putt prize trip for two to Bandon Dunes, and closest to the pin receives trips to El Cid in Mazatlan.
Over 30 golf courses will be at the Expo, offering all sorts of discounts and packages for spring and summer play. Stay close to home, or plan a trip to Utah, Wyoming, and even Mexico. Golf travel options on display include a Las Vegas overview, Santa Fe Trail, Northeast Nebraska and Texas options.
If you need some lesson direction, the Expo provides continuous seminars from instructors on the big stage ranging from putting to driving. GolfTEC will be using their computer-aided instructional technology in their booth. And if that isn’t enough, take a mini-lesson at the PGA lesson area. In the world of golf, and for only a $13 admission, there is more than enough at the Denver Golf Expo to keep you entertained!
